TEXAS — Three branches of Planned Parenthood across the state have merged to become Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas.
The non-profits in Austin, North Texas and Waco are joining together to serve more than 120,000 Texas this year.
Ken Lambrecht, CEO of Planned Parenthood of North Texas, says the new merger is “designed to be even stronger and more efficient, and to be an exemplary steward of our donors’ support to provide our clients with the high-quality health services they rely upon.”
Officials say that combining the groups makes it the largest non-profit women’s health care provider in Texas.
Planned Parenthood centers provide breast and cervical cancer screenings, HIV tests and birth control options, among other services.
